Birds Were Nesting on My Roof
I have never had a problem with birds until a year ago. Thankfully, my problem did not last too long because I contacted a bird pest control company who was able to help me out before the problem grew out of control. I own a small warehouse that is situated on several acres of land. The closest building to me is nearly a half mile away, so my place was quite attractive for a bird infiltration. I noticed a problem when my gutters kept getting clogged, and I knew that it was from birds making their nests when I cleaned them out.
When the problem became more frequent, I knew that I had to do something because it was just too time consuming to continue cleaning the gutters because of the size of the building. I looked online to see if I could find any deterrents to chase the birds away, and that is when I realized I had a bigger problem on my hands. Because they were leaving their nesting supplies in my gutters more and more often, the problem was here to stay unless I got some professional help in getting them to nest elsewhere.
I was able to contact a company that services my area for bird problems. They sent someone out first to inspect the property and building, to ensure that there was a problem in the first place. I understood that reasoning, even though I knew that it would not take long to determine that there was one. After they arrived and saw there was a problem with birds nesting on the roof of my building, I was given a few options on how to get rid of them. I chose to use metal spikes because they do not hurt the birds, as it only encourages them to look elsewhere for nesting and roosting.
